mouseioaigiou.jpg Housed in the old Municipal Market of Aigio, attributed to the German architect Ernst Ziller and was built in 1890. The building possesses a magnificent architecture and includes a large central atrium framed by the shops in the market that now hosts cultural events.

The findings come mainly from the town of Aigio and other ancient cities of Aigialeia (Aigira, Kyrenia, Rypes etc.) but also by smaller unidentified ancient settlements in the region.
The marble statue of a small Heraclea from Aigio, a Roman copy of an original work of 320-310 BC, is exhibited at the atrium, along with architectural fragments from buildings, and a tomb with inscriptions.
