Psathopyrgos village of Rio municipality, brings you a traditional sense in terms of buildings, climate and people. Taverns, fishing boats and low houses, reminds the visitor of an island.

Psathopirgos, formelly called Zachoulitika or Zachouliotika is a village 16.4 km northeast of Patras. If you come from the National Road Athens-Corinth it is better to turn at Longos cross and enter the Old National Road. If you are coming from northern Greece, once you arrive in Rio, you should get on the Old National Road for Agios Vassilleios, Drepano and Psathopyrgos.
